Social Media Backlash Countless users and merchants are expressing on platforms stating that platform listings now display an altered size classification versus the original listing as a result of the reclassification. The platform stated the revised method more closely matches other platforms. They have suggested members to review their products and manually change the size where appropriate, which has left users frustrated. Size Classification Updates Previously, the sizes had both numerical and alphabetical indicators, such as S/8 or M/10. The revised method features a letter with a size spectrum like S/UK 8-10. With some products, the sizing has been recategorised - for example a size L was formerly size 12 but currently displays as UK 16-18. User Experiences A fashion influencer, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, explained the modification "makes transactions more difficult". "Rarely do manufacturers list XL as sizes 20-22," which is what Vinted now does. Stephanie Gallen, from Glasgow, said garments she listed featuring size 14 markings were displaying on the service as measurements 20-22. "If buyers measuring 20-22 acquire them they will likely be quite upset," she said. Necessary Adjustments Charlotte Lunn, based in Derby, explained she became annoyed due to the update requiring manual adjustment the sizing for "all her products".
